Rated 4.7 stars by 142 members and guests, Elks Lodge #2645 has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way: by showing up. Perched on Sinepuxent Avenue just steps from the bay, this lodge is where Ocean City locals gather after a long week, where families celebrate milestones, and where the Elks' century-old mission of charity and community plays out in real, tangible ways every single day.

The atmosphere is genuinely unpretentious. Cash only, no tabs, an ATM on-site if you need it. Guests describe popping in on a whim and having a great time. Members have thrown 90th birthday parties here and walked away raving about how easy the staff made every detail. That combination of low-key accessibility and genuine hospitality is rare, and regulars know it.

Ocean City, MD is a seasonal town, but the Lodge runs year-round, anchoring the community through the off-season when most of the boardwalk goes quiet. The BPOE mission runs deeper than the bar menu: charitable programs, veteran support, youth initiatives, and neighbor-helping-neighbor work that rarely makes the news but makes a real difference.

What We Offer

Dinner nights draw a steady crowd, and the kitchen keeps it classic. Wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, and rotating specials give members and guests a reliable, satisfying meal without the boardwalk markup. The bar is stocked, the prices are fair, and the company is almost always good.

Beyond the dining room, the Lodge is a full-service event venue. The 90th birthday party celebrated here recently is just one example of what the space can accommodate. Private parties, anniversary dinners, organizational meetings, and charitable fundraisers all find a home at Lodge #2645. The staff handles the logistics so you can focus on the occasion.

Membership opens up additional benefits including access to Elks national programs, discounted events, community volunteer opportunities, and the kind of camaraderie that is genuinely hard to find elsewhere. Guests of members are always welcome, and prospective members can inquire at oceancityelks.org.

"It's my second time here. Visited last year and now this year on dinner night. I ordered wings, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were hard. Not sure if they were undercooked or just got cold. The wings on the other hand, were most certainly undercooked. I bit into two different wings and got blood. I really do not want to be up 6 hours from now puking my guts out and pooping my guts out. You cannot serve undercooked chicken. No more..."

"The key point to know is that this is a cash only, pay as you go lodge (no tabs), but they have an ATM ($3 surcharge). My wife and I popped over last night and had a great time. Since it's in a resort town, you'll likely have to be the one starting a conversation, but as always, it's easy to chat with fellow members. On the flip side, if you're not in the mood to mingle, it's easy to be anonymous. The food was fantastic, especially the crab soup!"

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
